During Tokyo Comic Con 2018, Marvel Comics announced a new partnership with Japanese band Sekai No Owari on a new one-shot comic book. This one-shot, illustrated by Takeshi Miyazawa, will reimagine the J-Pop band members as superheroes. No writer has been named as of yet. 

“After two years in development, it was a thrill to finally announce the special comic book/music video/documentary series Marvel created with groundbreaking Japanese rock band End of the World (@SekaiNoOwariOFC) at Tokyo Comic Con!” tweeted Marvel Comics' Editor-In-Chief C.B. Cebulski.

Before becoming EIC in 2017, Cebulski was sent to Shanghai to serve as Marvel's VP of International Business Development & Brand Management. He previously described his job as expanding Marvel’s brand in Asia. 

Sekai No Owari's YouTube page, which features a trailer for the comic book, has the one-shot scheduled for release on December 11, 2018.
