According to Variety, Japanese model, artist and actress Lauren Tsai is making her television acting debut on the third season of FX’s Legion. The 20-year-old has been cast to play Switch, a young mutant who possesses “secret abilities” that will be instrumental in implementing David Haller’s plan.
Back in 2017, Tsai introduced herself as a model and artist by appearing on Netflix’s Japanese reality show, Terrace House: Aloha State. After landing advertising deals with Shu Uemura and Marc Jacobs, Tsai teamed with the latter on a capsule collection embellished with her illustrations.
Based on the comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Legion centers around supposed schizophrenic David Haller (Dan Stevens) who may just be the world’s most powerful mutant. Executive produced by Noah Hawley, the series also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Bill Irwin, Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Hamish Linklater, and Navid Negahban.
Legion season three is slated to air on FX sometime in 2019.
