The friendly neighborhood web-crawler is back (in more ways than one) in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Things are certainly looking better than the last time we saw Spider-Man.

Aunt May seems to have embraced her nephew’s alter ego and Spider-Man has become a neighborhood sensation. Riding on that optimism, Peter and his buds head to Europe for a school trip, sans Spider-Man. Which makes this a good time for a gruff fellow hero to show up and hijack his vacation to save the day from the bad guys.

Similar to the first movie, Far From Home appears to embrace the awkward teen side of Peter’s life and the daring superheroics of Spider-Man. There’s more good music to be heard and comical moments that include Happy flirting with May and Peter attempting to flirt with M.J. The trailer also features Mysterio and his impressive power.

Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Jon Favreau returned for Spider-Man: Far From Home, as did director Jon Watts and writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The sequel added Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders in their MCU roles of Nick Fury and Maria Hill, along with Jake Gyllenhall as Mysterio. It’ll premiere in theaters on July 5, 2019.
