Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment has released new images for the upcoming fifth season of Fear the Walking Dead, which confirms the rumors of a Walking Dead crossover. One image in particular highlights the addition of Austin Amelio’s Dwight, who was last seen on the parent series as Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) told him to leave and never come back.

Although he is seen wielding his trusty axe, the exiled Dwight looks more tattered than usual. It remains to be seen if Dwight is coming into Fear as a friend or foe, as well as the current status of his search for his wife, Sherry.

Dwight is the latest TWD star to make the transition over to Fear, following Lennie James’ Morgan. Given Morgan’s distaste for Dwight’s earlier, more villainous actions, their could be some unresolved tension between the pair.

Along with Dwight, additional images show Strand (Colman Domingo), Charlie (Alexa Nisenson), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Morgan, John (Garret Dillahunt), and June (Jenna Elfman). Aside from the clearly evident chaos, no further details are provided through the images.

Season four of Fear saw the introduction of several new faces as well as the deaths of Madison (Kim Dickens) and Nick (Frank Dillane). Following the intense battles with the Vultures and Martha, the season ended on happier times with the group setting up a new base and helping other survivors.

Fear the Walking Dead season five has yet to set a premiere date.
