The actors behind the core Avengers – Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner – recently sat down on Good Morning America to talk about Avengers: Endgame.
Joking about the movie’s extensive 3-hour runtime, Downey Jr. commented: “I’m hoping there’s a Lawrence of Arabia musical intermission.” Evans meanwhile spoke about the emotional response he had to finishing the movie that was “an enormous part” of his life. All jokes aside and warnings to “bring Kleenex,” the cast also provided a new clip that sees a plan forming on how to beat Thanos.
Following the mass casualties of their earlier fight with Thanos, the team is understandably concerned about a second round. Captain Marvel, however, makes it clear that the reason they lost is “because you didn’t have me.” Doubts aside, the Avengers are deep in planning mode to reverse the snap and defeat the Mad Titan once and for all.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame also stars Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Don Cheadle, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
The film hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
