One year before the premiere of Wonder Woman 1984, director Patty Jenkins shared the first image of Wonder Woman’s new costume. On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, the director tweeted an image of the first teaser poster.

The new costume is very different from the metallic red, white, and blue costume she wore in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and Justice League. Wonder Woman will be saving the day in a shiny gold outfit with ornate gauntlets, shoulder and leg pieces. It bears some resemblance to her costume in the limited comic series Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross.

Along with Wonder Woman’s bright gold costume, the poster’s background is streaked with neon shades of pink, blue, purple, and green – embracing the vibrant style of the ’80s.

Wonder Woman 1984 will hit theaters on June 5, 2020. Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen return for the sequel, joined by Kirsten Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah.
