The retooled third season of the TV show Scream has moved from MTV to VH1. Now titled Scream: Resurrection, the show will air a six-episode event over the course of three back to back nights. Beginning on Monday, July 8, 2019, the show will air two episodes each night through Wednesday, July 10.

In addition to its network move and name change, this season will have a new cast, premise, and location. The story follows Deion Elliot, a star football player whose tragic past resurfaces to derail his future, and the lives of his friends. R.J. Cyler (Power Rangers, Black Lightning) will portray Elliot and is joined by Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, C.J. Wallace, and several others, including a guest spot by Paris Jackson.

Brett Matthews (The Vampire Diaries) will serve as showrunner, with Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Yaneley Arty coming onboard as executive producers. For the first time on the TV adaptation, Scream movie series voice actor Roger Jackson will provide the voice of Ghostface and the original Ghostface mask will be used.
