Danny Torrance hasn’t had an easy life – which is not surprising since his dad tried to kill him as a child. In the final trailer for Doctor Sleep, Stephen King’s long-awaited sequel to The Shining, a now grown Dan Torrance faces his past and tries to help another child from the monsters of the world.

In the final trailer, Dan wants to get away from his past, but must revisit the Overlook Hotel and its bevvy of ghosts. He gets contacted by Abra Stone, a girl who shares his exceptional ability, and also learns of a murderous cult that is hunting down children like her.

Doctor Sleep will be released in theaters on November 8, 2019. Mike Flanagan, who wrote and directed The Haunting of Hill House, directed the movie and adapted the script from King’s novel. Ewan McGregor plays Dan, with Kyliegh Curran as Abra and Rebecca Ferguson as cult leader Rose the Hat.
