Metropolis Gallery’s new J. Scott Campbell exhibit opened last weekend to a packed house reception and a successful unveiling for a New York City art gallery dedicated to comic and fantasy art. Vincent Zurzolo, founder and curator of the Midtown gallery, told Scoop several dozen pieces sold during the opening.

“The gallery was brimming with wall to wall fans celebrating their love and appreciation for J. Scott Campbell’s talent and mastery of the comic art medium,” Zurzolo said. “With more than 120 pieces of original art on display – valued at $750,000 in total, we moved more than a third of the collection that first night.”

The gallery is located at 36 West 37th Street, Floor 6, New York, NY 10018. The J. Scott Campbell exhibit, as well as the permanent collection, will be open for viewing Tuesday-Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM until January 31, 2020.
