The “Ohio Copy” of Amazing Fantasy #15, which of course features the origin of Spider-Man, was sold by Metropolis Collectibles for a reported record price.

The copy, which was certified 8.5, sold for $29,500 according to Metropolis' Chief Operating Officer Vincent Zurzolo, Jr.

“While this is not the most expensive Amazing Fantasy #15 ever sold (that would be the only CGC-graded 9.6 sold by Metropolis for an undisclosed six figure price), it is the most ever paid for a CGC-graded 8.5,” Metropolis said in a press release.
