It’s easy to figure out where celebrities are at Comic-Con. They are in the center of a crowd 100 people deep. Now some celebrity guests at the huge event want to walk around and enjoy the show just like the rest of us, but would get mobbed if they show those familiar faces. So they wear disguises.
Celebrities have been sneaking around Comic-Con for years wearing costumes. It’s genius really, considering how many other people are also wearing masks.
This year the winner of best celebrity incognito has got to be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill. The current Superman sported a Suicide Squad t-shirt and a Guy Fawkes mask from V for Vendetta. He walked around the show, looked at comics, even took pictures with other attendees.
The best part was when Cavill pranked the Suicide Squad cast, particularly Will Smith. He spoke to Smith, all the while wearing the mask. As they posed for a photo he pulled off the mask. It wasn’t until the photo was taken that Smith looked at his face and realized who it was. Smith’s “you got me” laugh is adorable and Viola Davis can also be seen cracking up at the prank.
Cavill, apparently a fan at heart, got the Suicide Squad movie cast to sign his t-shirt.
