Nintendo has spent their summer hitting the road in order to showcase some great recent and upcoming games for their Switch and 3DS systems, and they made a stop at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego during Comic-Con weekend to take advantage of the crowds. Their setup was similar to previous years, with dozens of systems set up for gamers to take advantage of, plus the option to gather stamps from each game station in order to win a prize.

A large focus was put on Splatoon 2, which released during Comic-Con weekend on July 21, 2017. Other games that had primary placement on the floor included Arms, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Pokken Tournament DX.

Other games present on the floor included Miitopia, Hey! Pikmin, Pokemon Sun, and Pokemon Moon, Minecraft: Switch Edition, Ever Oasis, Super Smash Bros., 1-2 Switch, Super Bomberman R, and many more.

Gamers who were able to gather at least eight stamps could head over to try their hand at a prize, which ranged from sticker sheets to small plushes and amiibo figures. Those in attendance who happened to be a part of the My Nintendo loyalty rewards program also automatically got a metal water bottle with the program’s logo on it as well.

Nintendo will be taking their “Summer of Play” tour across the country for the rest of the summer, with the event heading to cities including Miami, New York and Baltimore. More information can be found online.
