Entertainment Weekly's ew.com spotlighted two of our favorite superheroes with cover reveals and excerpts this week.

The Flash and Supergirl have been popular DC characters for many years with tons of comic books, animated shows, and other adventures. And that list now includes novels for young readers. The characters are featured in pair of trilogies in novel form with their respective second volumes due out this spring. The books are based on the characters' incarnations from their respctive popular shows on The CW.

The Flash: Johnny Quick written by bestselling author Barry Lyga (I Hunt Killers), sees Barry Allen protecting Central City from the devious Hocus Pocus, but there’s also a new evil in his town. We've been big fans of Lyga's work dating to his days at Diamond Comic Distributors' first Free Comic Book Day coordinator and have been looking forward to him turning his attention to some DC characters. The Flash: Johnny Quick will be in stores on April 3, 2018.

Supergirl: Curse of the Ancients is another original adventure of Supergirl trying to keep National City safe, and it's scheduled to hit stores on May 1.
