If you thought 2014’s comic book event Spider-Verse had a lot of Spider-Men, you ain’t seen nothing yet! During Comic Con Stockholm 2018, Marvel and Sony attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Spider-Man.”
Marvel Editor-In-Chief C.B. Cebulski took to Twitter to share that with a total of 547 web-slinging heroes, the new record has been set! Actress Carolina Ravassa (Overwatch), who was also in attendance, shared a video of the sea of Spideys occupying one room at the convention.
This world record was organized as a way of promoting the recently released Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4. Which is why a large majority of the fans were rocking costumed based on the suit featured in the popular game.
Offered in Collector’s, Digital and Standard Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man is available now wherever games are sold.
