As news of Stan Lee’s passing has circled the globe, remembrances and tributes have reverberated, not just through the comics community, but all of popular culture. Diamond Comic Distributors President and CEO Steve Geppi has shared his thoughts on the comic luminary’s contributions to the entertainment industry, even suggesting that Disney honor the great Stan Lee.

“Yesterday while sitting in the audience at the American Adventure in Epcot Center, I received a text informing me of Stan Lee’s passing,” Geppi wrote on Facebook. “How ironic, the song ‘Golden Dream’ was the part we were watching where the video celebrates all the iconic people in American History. Everyone from Elvis Presley and Walt Disney, to Neil Armstrong, Muhammad Ali and Michael Phelps blazed across the screen in a patriotic and inspiring expression of how great America is! I think it’s prophetic that I received notice of Stan’s passing at that exact moment in the film, because without a doubt, the Disney company should include Stan in an updated version in the near future. If you agree, lend your support by stating so here and sending messages to Disney encouraging them to do so. Stan deserves to be there! Thanks, and feel free to share this post!”
