Canadian based International Comic Exchange (ICE) continues to see strong sales and land key consignments. “We wouldn’t be selling so many books right off the hop if it weren’t for the flood of quality consignments helping make it all happen,” administrator Marty Birthelmer said. “It’s only been a few short months since we launched but ICE has really begun to make some noise as a graded comic book exchange. Being a new site we knew ICE had to earn the trust of both buyers and sellers and we had to do it fast.”

A high number of people have been signing up with ICE and many have made purchases. “Our sell through has been very high and we attribute this to working hard for good books and keeping prices as competitive as we can, so far so good,” Birthelmer added.

ICE recently set a site record by selling Brave and the Bold #28 CGC 8.0 for $23,900, which earned a GPA Chart Buster spot. They also sold Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 1.0 for $6,520 and Sensation Comics #1 CGC 1.8 for $9,800. They have consistently seen sales at this price point with books from all eras.

“All of us at ICE are committed to the long term success of the exchange, we realize there is so much hard work ahead of us and we can’t wait to get started. Earning the trust of so many buyers and sellers in such a short period of time tells us we are on the right track,” Birthelmer said.
