Philip Weiss Auctions is gearing up for a great auction on June 15, 2016 at 10 AM, filled with comic art from the Joe Kubert estate, paintings by Chesley Bonestell, animation art, rock posters, and more.

The sale includes over ten lots from the Joe Kubert Collection, including cover art and interior pages from G.I. Combat, Mystery in Space, Punisher, Weird War, Kamandi, Battle Classics, Green Beret, and more.

The eclectic sale covers many areas including four original Chesley Knight Bonestell science fiction paintings, plus fine art oils, lithos and engravings from listed artists including Alfred Mira, Mathilde See, Laszlo Mednyanszky, Edmund Darch Lewis, Thomas Bangs Thorpe, Emanuel Leutze, Mathias Sandor, Janos Tornyai, Maurice Kish, George Goodwin Kilburne I, Hugo Anton Fisher, Raoul Dufy, Burton Morris pop art, Romero Britto, Alexander Nelke, Louis Charles Verboeckhoven, Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec Poster, and Rene Pean Poster.

A collection of original psychedelic concert posters including Family Dog, Bill Graham, original Rick Griffin art, handbills, and more, plus animation art led by Disney production cels of Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Sleeping Beauty are in the sale.

Bronzes including Richard MacDonald’s monumental bronze The Anatomy of Golf which is approximately four feet long and Frank Meisler Jerusalem Sphere. There is a beautiful glass sculpture by A. Seguso and 112-piece Royal Crown Derby Old Imari China set. They are selling a Tiffany pine cone desk lamp, Tiffany Studios linen shade lamp, and an 81-piece Tiffany & Co. "Cirque Chinois" china set.

There is a grouping of early coin operated slot machines, coin operated Regina Hexaphone, grouping of early Indianapolis 500 racing pennants and attributed race worn uniform to the first Indy 500, part two of a collection of vintage designer clothing, designer handbags and Hermes scarves, and jewelry and costume jewelry.

Additional highlights are a collection of mint in box Mount Blanc pens, Picasso plates, a collection of carved Black Forest Bear Hall Trees, a grouping of Black Americana Majolica Statues, a large collection of Royal Doulton figurines, Meissen Figurines, and Ocean Liner memorabilia including chairs from the Andrea Doria, Normandie, S.S. United States, and other Ocean Liner Material.
