The ComicLink July Focused Auction will soon be underway when bidding begins the evening of July 13, 2016. Most impressive are close to 1,000 certified key and high grade Silver and Bronze Age comic books including such key examples as Incredible Hulk #181 (first full Wolverine) in CGC 9.8 and Werewolf By Night #32 (first Moon Knight) in CGC 9.8. ComicLink is also bringing to market via this Auction a Special Collection of #1 Registry Sets featuring complete runs of popular Marvel titles from the late Silver and Bronze Age, mostly in CGC 9.8. You'll also find a broad selection of Golden Age including several runs of hard-to-find titles with multiple Pedigree, File, and single highest grade examples to choose from.

The July Focused Auction will feature a special session devoted to the collection of a consignor who assembled the #1 Registry Sets for several popular titles including Captain Marvel – a complete collection of 71 books (sold separately), of which 63 are in CGC 9.8. It includes Marvel Super-Heroes #12 (first appearance of Captain Marvel) CGC 9.8, #13 (first Carol Danvers – the current Captain Marvel to be featured in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie) CGC 9.4 and the complete Silver Age and Bronze Age run on Captain Marvel #1-62 including #1 in CGC 9.8, Marvel Feature – a complete collection of Series 1 and Series 2 in CGC 9.8, and 19 in total (sold separately). It includes Marvel Feature #1 (first Defenders), Ms. Marvel – a complete collection (sold separately) of the 23-issue Bronze Age series in CGC 9.8 including #1 (first time Carol Danvers appears as Ms. Marvel), and #16-18 (first three appearances of Mystique), Marvel Graphic Novel – a complete collection (sold separately) in CGC 9.8 of the line that launched in 1982 with #1 (Death of Captain Marvel) and also included #4 (first appearance and origin of the New Mutants) and #5 (X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills). This series ran into the ’90s and includes many hard-to-find titles, especially in CGC 9.8.

It also includes high grade runs of Dell/Gold Key TV titles, including pristine File copies and Pedigree examples from Space Family Robinson Lost in Space (21 examples), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (18 examples), Beverly Hillbillies (12 examples), F-Troop (7 examples), and Rin Tin Tin/Rin Tin Tin and Rusty (27 examples).

Session 2 offers Golden Age comic books. Such publishers as DC, Timely, Fawcett, EC and Quality are represented. Many genres are offered including superhero, sci-fi, horror, good girl, and others can be found with a lot of interesting treasures to be uncover. They include Batman #12 CBCS 8.0 and #23 (second Joker cover in Batman) CGC 4.5, Captain America Comics #27 (classic cover) CGC 1.8 and #64 (scarce in high grade) CGC 3.0, Marvel Mystery #21 (Human Torch and Sub-Mariner, Schomburg WWII cover) CGC 3.5, numerous Action Comics and Detective Comics issues, America's Best #10 (classic WWII cover) CGC 3.5, Blonde Phantom #16 (Golden Age Captain America story) CGC 7.0, All-Star Comics #38 (first Black Canary with JSA) CGC 4.0, Blue Beetle #42 (one of top three graded) CGC 8.0, Captain Marvel Adventures #3 (very early issue) CGC 5.5, Catman #27 (LB Cole flag cover) CGC 3.5, many examples of Mystic, Seven Seas #3 (classic GGA cover) CGC 5.0, Shock Suspenstories #13 (Frazetta’s only solo story for EC) CGC 4.0, Skyman #1 (origin Skyman) CGC 5.5, Speed Comics #42 (File Copy) CGC 9.0 and other issues, and Spirit #3 (Fiction House run, horror cover) CGC 7.5. There are several high grade Golden Age runs including many Pedigree examples as well as single highest graded and only CGC graded examples from titles such as Popular Comics (49 examples), Boy Comics (6 examples), Feature Comics (10 examples), Li’l Abner (38 examples), Dotty Dripple (22 examples), and Big Shot Comics (5 examples).

Session 3 features CGC graded late Bronze, Copper, and Modern Age comic books. It is comprised of late Bronze Age and Modern certified comics and includes over 1,400 lots up for bid. Just a small selection of some of the highlights within this session are Amazing Spider-Man #300 (first full Venom) CGC 9.8, Batman Adventures #12 (first Harley Quinn in comics) CGC 9.8, New Mutants #98 (first Deadpool) CGC 9.8, Preacher #1 CGC 9.8, Star Wars #1 CGC 9.8, and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #1-4 all in CGC 9.8 Signature Series.

Session 4 is assorted comics with hundreds of affordable comic books, mostly certified examples from the Silver Age and Bronze Age.

Session 5 has relatively affordable original art by some of the biggest names in the industry including John Buscema (Conan page), Carmine Infantino (Iron Man page), Mike Kaluta (Shadow illustration), Walt Simonson (rarely available Thor page), Al Williamson (Buck Rogers illustration), Mike Zeck (Master of Kung-Fu page), John Romita Jr. (Daredevil and Wolverine pages), Herb Trimpe, Alex Toth, Bill Sienkiewicz, Adi Granov, Mike Mignola, and George Pérez.
