Pedigree Comics, seller and auctioneer of high end certified CBCS- and CGC-certified comics, has announced that they are now entering into the auctioning of original comic book art, with their first art auction starting on October 10 and ending on the evening of October 20, 2016.

The auction will feature original art for every type of collector from Golden Age to Modern, with prices starting as low as $100 and up with absolutely no buyer’s premium. The seller’s fee will be as low as 7% and no higher than 10% per consignment.

“We have been working around the clock, researching, meeting art collectors and sellers, taking in consignments, and working on the IT end of our site for a year just to get this right,” Pedigree's Original Art Consignment Director Randy Lawrence said. “When we first started talking about doing an art auction, we decided it needed to be a great experience for both the sellers and the collectors, and that is just what we believe we have accomplished. I think that everyone will be shocked on how well they did doing buying and selling in the auction!”

Pedigreecomics.com will be set up this Sunday, September 25, at the Comic Art Con, located at the Empire Meadowlands Hotel by Clarion, 2 Harmon Plaza, Secaucus, NJ 07094. Stop by to consign your original art and view the auction pieces first hand and/or to ask any questions about the upcoming auction.

There is still time to consign your original art. Call or email Randy Lawrence at (561) 886-8777 or RandyLawrence@pedigreecomics.com. Lawrence is available during the day and night, whenever it is convenient for consigners. The earlier you consign the more exposure your pieces will receive.

There are three easy ways to consign your art to any of Pedigree’s upcoming original art auctions and the only criteria is that each piece of art must be worth no less than $100 each.

Ship your art directly to their offices in Wellington, Florida. They will inventory, scan, and upload each piece into the Grand Auction listing. The art will be listed under your personal account and you will receive email notification at the conclusion of the auction with a list of every consigned piece that sold along with the winning bid made.

Email the scans of the art you wish to consign directly to them at Randylawrence@pedigreecomics.com. They will format and upload each scan onto their server and then put each book into the Grand Auction listing. Use a .jpeg format with the resolution set at 72 and the pixel width at 550 for optimum clarity. If you do not have a scanner you can use a digital camera.

You can upload your own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts, if any, by utilizing their Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site and login, click the “Customer Page” tab under “Your Account” and then click “Consignments” (under the “Auctions” heading). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and list your own original art. Pedigree will receive an email once you have uploaded the scan and art information for each individual item into the system and they will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The items will then be added to the Grand Auction listing to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to use the Automated Consignment System.
