Easily one of the most influential and important of modern comics, Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead has inspired a horde of tie-in entertainment, from TV to gaming to practically everything else. The comic book has inspired an entire generation of artists and writers moved by the series' articulate storytelling, raw emotion, and careful pacing.

ComicConnect is offering six pages from the groundbreaking series including the splash page for issue #2 by Tony Moore, page 21 from #16 by Charlie Adlard, a splash from #22, a double page splash from issue #34 and more.

“The image of Rick donning his sheriff’s hat from the second issue splash invokes nostalgia from the die hard fans of the series,” Rob Reynolds, Director of Consignments said. “Thanks to the scarcity of Moore's work for the series, this super-early art is poised to fetch a staggering price.”

Original art from The Walking Dead is highly sought after by serious collectors. Most notable are the issues illustrated by Tony Moore, as his early departure from the series means that very little work from the character's original delineator is available to buyers.

ComicConnect has nearly 200 original art auction lots. Collectors can view all of the original art on ComicConnect's website. The auction ends Monday, June 6, 2016 at 7 PM ET.
