Hake’s Americana & Collectibles’ Auction #218 is shaping up to be a great sale with awesome collections, rarities, and comics with first appearances of currently popular characters. To whet the appetites of collectors, Hake’s posted several awesome collectibles on their Facebook page, highlighting items that will be in the upcoming auction.

Hake’s will offer a replica pair of Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz. The replica pair is one of only 22 pairs, made by Western Costume Company from the original 1939 molds.

The auction will include a great 1936 Alf Landon campaign button with sunflower design, Mr. Peanut mascot costume, a great campaign button for Gerald Ford featuring cartoon elephant, boxed Mirrorman and Moonlight Mask wind-ups, and an early 1970s button depicting the Reverend Jesse Jackson issued by People United to Save Humanity.

A vintage concert poster for Big Brother and the Holding Company and Janis Joplin, rare 1940s Superman department store button from Australia, Man from U.N.C.L.E. counterspy outfit from the Tesco Vee collection, Hallowe’en button of witch and her black cat on a broom, and CGC graded The Batman Adventures #12 featuring the first comic book appearance of Harley Quinn will all be in Auction #218.

Hake’s is offering a Nancy Sinatra button, boxed Ultraman Honeymoon Express style train set by Bullmark, button issued to attendees of a Troy, New York Shriner fraternal convention around 1900 advertising International Shirt & Collar Co., CGC graded New Mutants #98 featuring the first appearance of Deadpool, 1939 Shadow button that glows in the dark, and Target Robot from Masdaya’s famous Gang of Five.

Additional highlights are a gorgeous button that promoted the 1908 Long Beach Festival of the Sea in Long Beach, CA, Atom Man vs. Superman three-sheet, Willie Mays button, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. thrush gun in its original box, and an 1860 ferrotype featuring Abraham Lincoln on one side with his running mate Hannibal Hamlin on the other side.
