The ComicLink Summer Featured Auction is underway with an exceptional selection of original comic artwork from all eras as well as an impressive crop of certified comic books. “The original art market continues to expand as worldwide interest in both vintage and modern characters grows due to the massive exposure our favorites are receiving from successful Hollywood movies and TV series. In addition to comic art, the market for fine art by comic related artists like Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, and Barry Windsor-Smith continues to grow,” ComicLink President Josh Nathanson said.

By its very nature, the Featured Auction is packed with highlights, but here is a very small sample of the major original art highlights you will find within the Summer Featured Auction (comic books are covered in a separate article).

Kevin Eastman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 preliminary page – a rare artifact from one of the most important comic books of the past 50 years plus Eastman and Laird page from Fugitoid #1; Frank Frazetta – very impressive large scale illustration of an Indian Fighter descending on an Indian holding a damsel in distress; Dave Gibbons cover to Watchmen #8 – only cover featuring heroes from the series; Mike Grell Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters #2 wraparound cover – first cover featuring Green Arrow and Shado together; Jaime Hernandez Love and Rockets early store promo poster; J.G.
