The Marc Lasry Collection comprises the first two sessions of ComicConnect’s Event Auction XXIX. The stars of the collection are the Larson copy of Batman #1, the highest graded copy of Wonder Woman #1, a run of Action Comics starting at #2, plus over “one thousand comics hand-picked by one of the most discerning collectors we’ve met,” Zurzolo said. “The remaining three sessions stand on their own as a powerhouse of vintage four-colored favorites.”

Silver Age highlights are Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 6.5, Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 5.5, Amazing Spider-Man #1 CBCS 8.5 R, Fantastic Four #1 CGC 7.0, Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 8.5, Tales of Suspense #39 CGC 8.5, Tales to Astonish #35 CGC 9.4, and X-Men #1 CGC 9.2.

The original comic art auction has over 140 pieces of original art including over two dozen pieces from Werewolf by Night, including the cover to issue #20, the splashes to #1, #3, and #5, and 19 interior pages to issue 9, plus the splash from Tomb of Dracula #18 with Dracula and the Werewolf doing battle. The splash to X-Men #150 featuring a powerful image of Magneto by Dave Cockrum is a must have, and Man of Steel and X-Men interiors by the great John Byrne are ready to find a new home. Alfredo Alcala Conan pages and strips, about 20 in all, are up for auction as well.
