With the New Year comes a new auction at Hake’s Americana & Collectibles. Auction #220 is set for mid-March 2017, opening for bids in late February. The staff is hard at work putting the auction together and have taken some time to post a few early highlights on their Facebook page.

More collectibles will be sold from the Franco Toscanini Collection, including a 1940 Marx Toys Superman Rollover Plane and 1940s Superman hood ornament. They will sell a classic 1940s DC Comics button featuring Jay Garrick as The Flash and 1930s Felix the Cat button that was issued by a Philadelphia newspaper.

The auction will feature 1960s boxed Rat Fink model kit and Bill Graham button promoting a Jefferson Airplane and Butterfield Blues Band concert in San Francisco on April 16, 1966. Another early feature is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGC-certified comic with original Turtle sketch by series co-creator Kevin Eastman.
