Until June 27, 2017, Heritage Auctions will be accepting consignments for their Comics Auction, taking place on August 10-11. The auction house’s most recent auction, held on May 18-20, realized more than $8.3 million in sales, shattering multiple records.

“This auction already has two very important and unique collections. With the submission of Graham Nash’s original art and Majic Woo’s high grade comics, this auction will be one to watch,” said Barry Sandoval, Director of Comics Operations at Heritage.

Highlights already slated for the comics auction include Robert Crumb’s original art for an unused cover of Zap #1 and The People’s Comics $uck$$e$ Story. This piece, in which Crumb depicted himself as a spoiled hotshot, is estimated to sell for $50,000. Also featured are ten extremely rare Crumb pieces, including “how i quit collecting records” six-page story and the youth culture cover of “Weirdo” #23. These exceptional lots come from a collection owned by legendary singer-songwriter Graham Nash.

Another noteworthy collection to be featured is the Magik Woo assemblage. This collection’s most notable lot is The Amazing Spider-Man #14 CBCS 9.8. This comic, estimated at $60,000, includes the first appearance of the Green Goblin and Spider-Man’s first meeting with the Hulk. Additional items in Woo’s collection include The Amazing Spider-Man #13 CBCS 9.6 and an X-Men #1 CBCS 8.0.
