Remaining lots within the June Focused Auction are closing next week, and ComicLink is currently consignment gathering for other upcoming auctions including the July Focused Auction beginning on July 12, 2017 and the Summer Featured Auction which will begin in August.

A major highlight just listed for the July Focused Auction is the first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 8.0 CVA Exceptional. ComicLink just sold a similar 8.0 example in the Spring Featured Auction for a record $261,010 and the firm expects this one to cause a similar level of excitement. It exhibits deep, rich colors and only minimal wear. It’s a lovely specimen that would make for a special centerpiece within virtually any Silver Age collection.

The Summer Featured Auction will be one of Comiclink’s biggest of the year and already has some amazing Silver Age DC comics from the John G. Fantucchio Pedigree including the first appearance of the Teen Titans in Brave and the Bold #54 CGC 9.8 (single highest graded). The Titans have been one of DC’s top franchises for decades and it’s only a matter of time until they make their way onto the big screen following in the footsteps of the massively successful Wonder Woman and the upcoming Justice League. Underscoring how rare this example is, in the 17 years since CGC started grading, this is the first time this Silver Age key has ever been awarded the Near Mint/Mint 9.8 grade. According to ComicLink, they expect the bidding to be very fierce for this one, considering its growth potential.

There are already a few incredible exciting original art offerings lined up for the Summer Featured Auction and much more is on the way. One of them is the historic cover for Uncanny X-Men #266, featuring the first appearance of Gambit, drawn by the extraordinary Andy Kubert. This is one of the most significant Modern Era covers ever to come onto ComicLink’s auction market. Gambit was a shining star from the beginning of his career as an X-Man and he may just go supernova once the planned Gambit film franchise with Channing Tatum finally gets off the ground.

Another huge original art piece in the Summer Featured Auction is the Neal Adams cover for Justice League of America #92 (1971) featuring his epic depiction of Solomon Grundy taking out the Justice League and the Justice Society. This is Adams’ only Solomon Grundy cover from his peak era and it’s an incredible piece. With Grundy looking very likely to appear on the hit show Gotham starting in a few months, the swamp monster is poised to skyrocket in popularity among a new generation of fans.

There is no time like the present to consign and take full advantage of range of the promotion ComicLink does for each of its auctions. Both the July Focused and Summer Featured auctions will offer an incredible selection of comic books and original art. Interested sellers are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible to reserve placement, as auction slots tend to fill up quickly for some items. Sellers may contact ComicLink by emailing buysell@comiclink.com or by calling (617) 517-0062 (option 1) to speak with Josh Nathanson, Douglas Gillock, Jason Crosby, Jon Signorelli, or Ross Kearney.

The images shown below provide a preview of some of the many highlights already consigned to these upcoming auctions.

In addition to auctioning items for consignors, ComicLink is also always accepting new sellers for the ComicLink exchange marketplaces, brokering private placement deals, and buying outright. So, it pays to get in touch no matter your selling preference, and ComicLink always looks forward to hearing from potential sellers.
