The June Major Auction at eMoviePoster has finished, netting $388,075 in total sales, far beyond their expectations, according to eMoviePoster. The auction contained 867 items of all years and sizes that were run in three parts.

The top 12 sales in the June Major Auction were The Scarlet Empress one-sheet for $27,001, Frankenstein linen-backed 1947 rerelease one-sheet for $15,150, From Russia with Love British quad for $11,500, Bride of Frankenstein pressbook for $7,850, Dracula lobby card for $6,750, The Man with the Golden Arm six-sheet for $6,600, Rocky linen-backed one-sheet for $6,520, Felix Tries to Rest linen-backed one-sheet for $6,350, House of Dracula linen-backed one-sheet for $4,452, House of Frankenstein linen-backed one-sheet for $4,400, Star Wars silk banner for $4,200, and Officer Duck one-sheet for $3,988.

In this auction, eMoviePoster set individual records for quite a few items. Though some sold for lower than they expected, there were many more that went far higher than anticipated. Both the buyers and their consignors have told eMoviePoster that it was a major success. The total of $388,075 put them at $2,595,876 in sales for 2017, putting them on track for their best year ever.

Their next major auction will be in early September, and it is not too early to consign. In their major auctions they always start from scratch, so they are currently seeking consignments to fill the auction. An incentive for people to consign now rather than later, is that they always use the first example of each item they are consigned, and use the earliest consignments in their pre-auction publicity.

eMoviePoster does not use reserves or charge buyer’s premiums and they provide unenhanced super-sized images. Collectors can always find a selection of posters from all years, genres, and countries.
