Leading off with an impressive Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 8.0 CVA Exceptional, the ComicLink Focused Auction begins closing this coming Tuesday, July 25, 2017, starting at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT). There are many key and high grade Silver and Bronze Age comics in this auction. There are also hundreds of interesting Golden Age comic books, vintage Superman memorabilia, and pristine Copper and Modern Age comic books. There are over 600 examples of original art as well, and even hundreds of sports cards offered in conjunction with Sportscardlink.com.

The vast majority of items are consigned by sellers with confidence at no reserve. Most of the graded comic book lots are encapsulated by either CGC or CBCS and most of the sports cards are certified by PSA or SGC.

Numerous Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age keys are offered within the Focused Auction. As mentioned above, a major highlight is the first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 8.0 CVA Exceptional. “ComicLink recently sold a similar 8.0 example in the Spring Featured Auction for a record $261,010 and we expect this one to cause a similar level of excitement! It exhibits deep, rich colors and only minimal wear. It’s a lovely specimen that would make for a special centerpiece within virtually any Silver Age collection,” ComicLink founder and President Josh Nathanson said.

“There are many other comic book highlights within the comic book portion of the auction, such as: a large group of Tales of Suspense starting with #1, most in high grade, including the key #39 (first Iron Man) in CGC 8.0; the start of the John G. Fantucchio Pedigree Justice League of America run; other Amazing Fantasy #15 examples; Brave and the Bold #28 (first Justice League) CGC 6.0; Daredevil #1 (first Daredevil) CGC 8.5; Incredible Hulk #1 (first Hulk) CGC 8.0 (married); Incredible Hulk #181 (first full Wolverine) CGC 9.4; Fantastic Four #45 (first Inhumans) CGC 9.4; and many pristine Moderns including items such as a Frank Miller signed CGC 9.8 Signature Series example of Daredevil #168 (first Elektra). The Golden Age selection includes popular DC issues from the Mt. Rainier collection, early Golden Age keys, tough pre-code horror examples, highly desirable Alex Schomburg Timely covers and rare Canadian Whites. There’s also collection of Golden Age era Superman memorabilia including a complete original 1939 Superman of America Club Kit,” Nathanson added.

ComicLink is offering over 600 lots of original comic book related artwork by many different artists within this auction including such acclaimed talents as John Bolton, Rich Buckler, Sal Buscema, John Byrne, Gene Colan, Amanda Conner, Roy Crane, Tony Daniel, Gary Frank, Michael Golden, Johnny Hart, Russ Heath, Carmine Infantino, Phil Jimenez, Gil Kane, Dale Keown, Andy Kubert, Greg Land, Bob Layton, Jim Lee, David Mazzuchelli, Stephen Platt, Mike Ploog, Humberto Ramos, Esad Ribic, Eduardo Risso, Marshall Rogers, John Romita Jr., Steve Rude, Kurt Schaffenberger, John Severin, Liam Sharp, Walt Simonson, Mico Suayan, Curt Swan, Mark Texeira, Jill Thompson, Herb Trimpe, George Tuska, Ethan Van Sciver, Matt Wagner, Mort Walker, and Wally Wood.
