Led by a selection of key and high grade certified comic books, the ComicLink Focused Auction which is now open, includes over 7,000 no reserve collectible lots including not just comic books, but also related original artwork and 18th and 19th century coins certified by NGC and PCGS.

Over 2,000 key and high grade certified comic books in session 1 include many highly desirable Silver and early Bronze Age issues. Major highlights include items such as Incredible Hulk #1 (first Hulk) CGC 7.0 and #2-6 between CGC 8.5 and 9.2, Amazing Fantasy #15 (first Spider-Man) CGC 4.5, Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 7.0, Journey Into Mystery #83 (first Thor) CGC 7.0 and X-Men #4 (first Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) CGC 9.4.

The auction introduces the Silver Age Tales of Suspense, Iron Man, Captain America, and Batman runs from the recently coined John G. Fantucchio pedigree. This includes Tales of Suspense #39 (first Iron Man) CGC 7.0 as well as many of the early Iron Man issues of Tales of Suspense in CGC 9.2 and 9.4.

Among the top Bronze Age keys are Amazing Spider-Man #129 (first Punisher) CGC 9.6, Conan #1 CGC 9.8, Incredible Hulk #181 (first full Wolverine) CGC 9.4, Iron Man #55 (first Thanos and Drax) CGC 9.6, and Batman #232 (first Ras Al Ghul) CGC 9.6.

Session 2 offers a fantastic selection of over 800 hard to find Golden Age comic books. Many interesting covers from a variety of genres are offered, and numerous high grade examples are presented, some hailing from pedigree collections. You’ll also find a selection of early Superman collectible memorabilia.

Session 3 offers over 2,500 certified late Bronze through Modern Age comic books, many in pristine condition, with key issues in numerous conditions. Star Wars fans looking to complete a high grade run of the original Marvel title, which ran for 107 issues plus three annuals, will see a 99% complete run of the title in CGC 9.8 (only #57 is not present, but there is a lower grade #1 price variant). Of course, 9.8 keys introducing major characters like Harley Quinn, Venom, Deadpool, Phoenix, Grendel, and many others are in this part of the auction.

Session 4 offers a selection of over 1,000 affordable assorted comic books and comic-related merchandise, sold individually and within lots.

Session 5 offers a large selection of over 700 works of comic book related artwork by accomplished artists including big names like Adams, Buscema, Byrne, Cho, Coipel, Colan, Daniel, Davis, Dell’Otto, Eastman, Finch, Golden, Grell, Heath, Heck, Hughes, Infantino, Jimenez, Kane, Keown, Layton, Lee, McGuinness, Perez, Risso, Romita Jr., Silvestri, Simonson, Starlin, Thorne, Trimpe, Turner, Tuska, Wagner, Yu, and Zeck.

Session 6 launches ComicLink’s first Certified Coins session. Offerings include NGC and PCGS certified coins from the 1800s and 1900s, including many scarcer coins and Mint-State examples (see the other Scoop article for more on this).

ComicLink will be set-up at a couple of conventions in the near future and taking consignments right at the firm’s booth. They’ll be at Baltimore Comic-Con at the Baltimore Convention Center on September 22-24. Senior Consignment Director Douglas Gillock and Sales Consultant Ross Kearney will be attending the show at in booth 507. Then they’ll be at New York Comic Con on October 5-8 at the Javits Center. ComicLink President Josh Nathanson, Gillock, Kearney, and Sales Consultant Jon Signorelli will be attending the show at booth 2622.
