The Original Art session of the ComicLink Fall Featured Auction will on Thursday, November 30, 2017, with hundreds of premium quality original art lots up for auction. The session includes the complete 20-page Conan prototype story, “Kull Of Atlantis,” penciled and inked by Barry Windsor-Smith; the exciting original Carl Barks Donald Duck oil painting, “Terror of the River”; Bernie Wrightson illustration published in Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s Frankenstein (A Marvel Illustrated Novel); and a Jack Kirby Doctor Doom page from Fantastic Four Annual #2.

Original art session highlights are Neal Adams Action Comics #468 cover featuring Superman vs. Terra-Man, Avengers #93 page from the landmark Kree-Skrull War with Captain Marvel, and Detective Comics #408 page 1 with Batman in five panels plus Robin; Art Adams Excalibur: Mojo Mayhem #1 splash featuring the X-Babies and X-Men Annual #14 half splash; Simon Bisley Batman and Judge Dredd covers; Stephen Bissette Saga of the Swamp Thing #24 cover from the classic early Alan Moore run with the JLA crossover as Swamp Thing battles the Floronic Man; Brian Bolland splash page from Camelot 3000 #1 featuring the first appearance of King Arthur in the story, Robin #3 cover, and Sensational She-Hulk #14 cover with Howard the Duck; and Jack Kirby’s Kamandi #20 cover and #25 chapter splash (“Freak Show”) plus Kirby’s pure pencils for an unused Kamandi cover, Captain America #193 page, The Eternals #16 page featuring the Hulk, cover recreations for Amazing Spider-Man #10, and Tales of Suspense #47.

Art includes Rich Buckler Spectacular Spider-Man #119 cover featuring black costumed Spidey and Sabretooth; Sal Buscema the finale page from The Defenders #1 featuring Dr. Strange, Namor, and Banner and Sub-Mariner #34 finale page from the first Defenders prelude issue featuring Namor, Hulk, and the Silver Surfer; John Byrne memorable finale splash featuring a huge image of Superman from the final page of the final issue of his historic revamp and The Man of Steel and a Byrne title splash from Superman #4; Byrne/Sinnott page from Fantastic Four #212 featuring Galactus, Iron Fist #11 page with Danny battling the Wrecker, and the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #11 wraparound cover; Robert Crumb detailed character design illustrations; Geof Darrow Dark Horse Futures: Hard Boiled cover ‒ the first published Hard Boiled cover; Steve Ditko twice-up Captain Atom #88 page from 1967 featuring the inspiration for Doctor Manhattan from Watchmen in battle with a large Spider-like creature and a full page illustration of the fanzine hero the Defender from Comic Crusader #8.
