With the Fall Featured Auction soon drawing to a close, ComicLink is turning its attention to gathering consignments for upcoming auctions to launch in early 2018, including the January Focused Auction which starts on January 10 and the Winter Featured Auction which will begin on February 15. Interested sellers may contact ComicLink by emailing buysell@comiclink.com or by calling (617) 517-0062 (option 1) to speak with Josh Nathanson, Douglas Gillock, Jason Crosby, Jon Signorelli, or Ross Kearney.
“2017 has been such an amazing year for ComicLink auctions, generating strong results for our consignors. The sales outlook is very positive for the first quarter of 2018 and we will be bringing some incredible items to auction, including an Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 9.0 (CVA) slated for the Winter Featured Auction. We can’t wait to see what else 2018 will bring,” ComicLink President Josh Nathanson said.
Vintage comic books and comic related art will continue to draw worldwide attention in the new year as comic book characters continue to dominate popular culture. Last week, ComicLink pointed out the comic book movies coming out in 2018. Perhaps even more impressive is the list of new live-action TV series based on comic books or comic book culture.
The massive list of on-going series include The Walking Dead, Gotham, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Flash, Supergirl, Preacher, and iZombie, plus recent additions like The Punisher and Runaway. New series in 2018 include Black Lightning, New Warriors, and Titans.
Plus, there is a growing list of shows in early development including Watchmen, Y the Last Man, and American Flagg!, among others. The massive media attention generated by the millions of eyeballs watching these programs will continue to drive demand for vintage comic books and original art at a scale that past generations of collectors could have never imagined.
In addition to auctioning items for consignors, ComicLink is also always accepting new sellers for the ComicLink exchange marketplaces, brokering private placement deals, and buying outright.
