eMoviePoster’s December Major Auction, filled with nearly 2,000 items from around the world and across all of film history, is now open. The auction is segmented into four parts with linen-backed, oversized, and flat items, plus specialty categories.

Part I with 400 linen-backed posters of all types ends on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

Part II featuring 456 oversized linen, plus all rolled posters, closes on Tuesday, December 12.

Part III including all items that ship in boxes or flat packages, begins on Thursday, December 7.

Part IV, the special Star Wars and Walt Disney auction, begins on Sunday, December 10.

Three surprising results from the auction that closed on Tuesday, December 6 were a Sailor-Made Man yellow style French one-panel for $1,307, One Night In The Tropics window car for $724, and King Kong 1940s rerelease eight Mexican lobby cards for $601.

The auction does not include reserves or buyer’s premiums. They use unenhanced super-sized images and strive for accurate condition grading.

eMoviePoster sells around 140,000 items every year and every one of their 1.3 million total sales started at $1 with no reserve and no buyer’s premiums. Last year, 63% of the items sold for $19 or under, and 25,000 auctioned for just $1, $2, $3, or $4 each. Despite their name, they don’t just auction movie posters. They also auction many tens of thousands of vintage stills, lobby cards, as well as signed items, scripts, and all sorts of special posters. Collectors can now view many previews for their December Major Auction, which will likely be their best auction of the year and it begins on December 3. Go to their Consign Page to learn about consigning to them for any of their auctions, or go to their Registration Page to sign up and start bidding.
