In a few short weeks, Hake’s Americana & Collectibles will open their latest auction for bidding on thousands of Americana and pop culture items. In preparation for the event, Hake’s has posted several teasers on their Facebook page.

This auction will feature some stellar key comic books like Detective Comics #27 CGC 5.0 (first appearance of Batman), Action Comics #7 CGC 4.0 (second Superman cover), Captain America Comics #3 CGC 7.0, and Action Comics #59 CGC 6.5 (with World War II Superman cover).

The second installment of the Star Wars Collection of Russell Branton will hit the auction block, including the highly coveted Boba Fett rocket-firing prototype figure and Princess Leia Organa 12-back-A action figure AFA 95.

Additional toys that have been teased early are the Castle Grayskull from the Masters of the Universe toy line, Cobra HISS toy AFA 85, Kenner Super Powers Superman figure, and vintage 1960s Marx Fred Flintstone on Dino battery toy.

As always, Hake’s will offer an impressive selection of political and historical memorabilia, like the 1904 election button for Theodore Roosevelt and Charles W. Fairbanks and the 1904 election button featuring Theodore Roosevelt on horseback in his Rough Riders uniform from the Spanish-American War.

This sale will also house several great movie and concert posters, such as a Goldfinger half-sheet, 1963 Robot Monster half-sheet, and 1966 concert poster advertising Otis Redding, Patti LaBelle, and others.

Bidding on Auction #223 opens on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at hakes.com and the auction closes on Tuesday through Thursday, March 13-15.
