ComicLink’s current Winter Featured Auction is open for bidding and includes a dynamic selection of comic related and fantasy original art. “ComicLink Featured Auctions are known for their exceptional offerings and the Winter Featured Auction has many to choose from,” ComicLink founder and President Josh Nathanson said.

Nathanson pointed out that one exceptional highlight is Jim Lee’s epic cover for Batman #618, the penultimate issue of “Hush” featuring the image of Batman pursued by the rotting corpse of the newly returned Jason Todd, while Hush (in this central figure’s only publicly available cover appearance during the saga) looms behind.

Original art highlights include include Mike Ploog’s Giant-Size Man-Thing #1 cover featuring Man-Thing vs. the Glob; Boris Vallejo’s painted cover for Savage Sword of Conan #4; a Frank Frazetta illustration of John Carter, Warlord of Mars from the Doubleday book series; Jack Kirby’s cover for Black Panther #12; John Buscema’s cover for Thor #192; a Robert Crumb Mr. Natural Strip for the Village Voice from 1976; a Todd McFarlane splash from Spider-Man #12; two Jim Starlin pages from the epic finale of the “Thanos Saga” in Marvel Two-in-One Annual #2 including the page where Thor and the Thing finally bring down Thanos; and an important John Byrne/Terry Austin page from Uncanny X-Men #142, part 2 of the legendary “Days of Future Past” saga, where Mystique strongly hints she’s Nightcrawler’s mother for the first time.

Other original art highlights are Frank Miller’s Daredevil #190 title splash for “Resurrection!”, the historic rebirth of Elektra; Bill Sienkiewicz’s Elektra painting from the cover of The Comics Journal #107; Kelley Jones’ Batman #532 cover featuring Batman and Deadman battling mummies; Mike Parobeck’s Batman Adventures #28 cover featuring the fourth appearance of Harley Quinn and the earliest Harley cover to ever come to auction; Jim Lee’s Gen 13 #7 cover featuring the one of only two Lee/Williams covers for the popular ’90s series; a Nick Cardy page from Aquaman #11, the historic first appearance of Mera; and a John Romita published “Spider-Man Friends and Foes” double page splash pin-up featuring an almost every Spidey character.
