“This fascinating collection was initially on display at the Museum of Uncut Funk,” Rob Reynolds, ComicConnect Director of Consignments, said. “Per the site, it’s the first virtual museum dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the funk and is the foremost authority and archive of 1970s Black culture and all things funky.”

Some of the nearly 100 comics available in the current Event Auction includes All-Negro Comics #1 CGC 4.0 C, Best Comics #1 VG- (first Red Mask), Fantastic Four #52 CGC 9.2 (first Black Panther), More Fun Comics #18 CGC 1.8, Negro Romance #1 FN-, and Speed Comics #1 CGC 2.5 (Jesse Owens panel).

“There’s keys and rarities to be found,” Reynolds said. “Treasure hunters should pick through this collection because you may never see some of these books again.”

The auction end-dates are as follows:
Session 1 (original comic art and memorabilia) March 19, 2018
Session 2 (Action Comics #1 - Black Laughter #1) March 20, 2018
