ComicConnect’s Event Auction XXXIV wraps up this Friday, March 22, 2018 and “there are still plenty of extremely desirable and valuable books up for grabs,” ComicConnect COO Vincent Zurzolo said.

A copy of X-Men #1 CGC 9.4 leads the pack, but investment collectors will also find two copies of Superman #1, Suspense Comics #3 CGC 1.0, X-Men #1 CGC 8.5, two copies of Tales of Suspense #39, Strange Tales #110 CGC 8.5, Weird Science-Fantasy #29 CGC 9.8, Wonder Woman #1 CGC 1.0, and Wonderworld Comics #7 CGC 8.0.

“The runaway success of superhero movies and TV shows has helped fuel the growth of the vintage comic collecting industry; now is the time to buy that dream book you’ve always wanted before they are forever out of reach,” Zurzolo added.

In this auction, ComicConnect has already achieved record sales for the two most desirable comic books in the hobby. In their “Superman Vs Batman” event, they sold a copy of Action Comics #1 CGC 5.0 for $815,000 and a copy of Detective Comics #27 CGC 6.0 for $732,000. “Top tier investment comics are consistently going up in value and continually breaking records, and there seems to be no end in sight,” Zurzolo said.

Next week Scoop will provide more in-depth coverage on these and other sales from Event Auction XXXIV.
