Superheroes lead the charge in Heritage’s current Sunday Internet Comics Auction with a few key issues. In the sale that ends on May 20, 2018, Heritage is selling Showcase #4 CGC 2.5 and The Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 2.5.

Showcase #4 CGC 2.5 contains the origin and first appearance of Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash. It also features the first appearance of Iris West, Barry’s love interest and eventual wife, then later the aunt of Wally West and grandmother to Bart Allen. Considered by many as the first Silver Age comic book, it depicts a cover and art by Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert.

Another major key offered on Sunday is The Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 2.5, which introduces the Incredible Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner. This issue also sees the debut of Betty Ross, his love interest and later wife; Thunderbolt Ross, Betty’s father and the Hulk nemesis; and Rick Jones, a teen that Banner saves during the gamma bomb explosion. It depicts the original grey version of the Hulk with art and cover by Jack Kirby.

Sunday’s sale contains 749 lots of comic books, original comic art, and memorabilia. Bidding opens at 6 PM CT on Heritage’s website.
