eMoviePoster’s new auction is filled with 991 Australian daybills, covering all years and genres with 162 from the 1940s and 1950s. Australian daybills are similar in size and shape to U.S. inserts, but whereas inserts usually have photographic images, daybills typically have artwork images. These posters, which close on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, can be reviewed at www.emovieposter.com.

Daybills include I Married a Monster From Outer Space with Richardson Studio art, Star Wars featuring Tom Chantrell art, Jaws depicting the scary shark, A Hard Day’s Night for The Beatles’ film, Journey to the Center of the Earth with different art, Star Wars first printing with Tom Jung art, The Spirit of St. Louis for the James Stewart film, The Birds showing Tippi Hedren and Alfred Hitchcock, The Giant Claw depicting the winged monster, Pueblo Pluto for the Disney film, and Invisible Boy with different robot art.

Halloween with great Michael Myers image, Creature with the Atom Brain showing the stalker and his prey, Asphalt Jungle depicting Marilyn Monroe, Barbarella with image of Jane Fonda, Dirty Harry for the Don Siegel crime classic, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly for the Clint Eastwood flick, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder, Friday the 13th with art of an axe in the pillow, Some Like it Hot featuring the three leads, Evil Dead with a different image of Bruce Campbell, Back to the Future with Drew Struzan art, and Green Slime for the cheesy sci-fi hit are featured daybills.

Additional daybills include Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors with different art, Peeping Tom for the Michael Powell horror flick, A Christmas Story showing different art, The Empire Strikes Back with art by Noriyoshi Ohrai, Lolita for the Stanley Kubrick hit, My Fair Lady with Bob Peak art, 101 Dalmatians for the 1970s rerelease, Taxi Driver with Robert De Niro by the cab, Gimme Shelter for the Rolling Stones film, The Terminator with image of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and The Trouble with Girls depicting Elvis Presley

Three surprising results from the auction that closed on June 19 were a set of nine Italian Thunderball photobustas for $813, Japanese Sound of Music roadshow for $605, and Italian Dr. No photobusta for $365.

eMoviePoster doesn’t just auction movie posters.
