The current Sunday Internet Comics Auction at Heritage is filled with 713 lots of original art and comics for collectors. Some of the highlights of the items that close on July 15 are Batman #181 CGC 7.5 and Don Heck Avengers #37 page 1 original art.

Batman #181 CGC 7.5, features the first appearance of Poison Ivy, a/k/a Pamela Isley, a Gotham City botanist who becomes a villain that uses plant toxins and mind-controlling pheromones. The issue presents the scenario of a woman coming between the crimefighting duo of Batman and Robin. It features a cover and centerfold pinup by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson with art by Sheldon Moldoff, Joe Giella, and Sid Greene.

A partial splash page with a defining image of Captain America that embodies strength, bravery, and patriotism can be seen on the Don Heck Avengers #37 page 1 Captain America original art. It is unknown whether this partial piece of the splash page is a trimmed element that was a replacement art patch or if it was trimmed out later for other use. The ink over graphite page is 6” x 9-3/4” and has been affixed directly to another piece of Bristol board that was produced to recreate the splash page. It was done by printing the original art in low-res grey ink and inking with markers.

The auction’s 713 lots of comics, original art, and memorabilia, closes on July 15 at 6 PM CT on ha.com.
