The first appearances of both the Incredible Hulk and the Mighty Thor are currently available to bid on at Huggins ad Scott’s current auction. This auction will run until November 1, 2018, leaving plenty of time for interested bidders to take a look.

The Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 8.5 is a significant key for Marvel collectors as it’s the first appearance of its titular character. At this grade, there are only 18 copies in the CGC Census that have been graded higher. Also of note is the follow-up issue, Incredible Hulk #2 CGC 8.5, which marks the first green-skinned appearance of the smash-happy Hulk.

Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 9.0, featuring the first appearance of Thor, holds a firm spot on the list of top Silver Age books. There are also just 18 books graded better than this example available in the CGC Census.

Both books are part of a new-to-market collection being offered by H&S between their November 2018 and February 2019 auctions. All major keys will be graded by CGC and offered on an individual basis, while groups of the remaining balance are being offered in variously sized lots. Titles included in these groups include Justice League of America, Batman, World’s Finest, Action Comics, and many others; all lots can be found at the Huggins and Scott website.
