ComicConnect’s Event Auction #38 kicked off on February 18, 2019 but the New York-based auction house has since added several exciting late additions. 

“After the catalog went to press, we kept hearing from sellers asking to still be a part of Event Auction #38,” said Vincent Zurzolo, ComicConnect’s COO. “We never want to disappoint a client and our consigners certainly didn’t disappoint us with the comics and original comic art submitted after the catalog deadline passed.”

One of the popular late additions is the Jack Kirby cover to Mister Miracle #14. The piece was held in a private collection for over 25 years and is from the artist’s phenomenal 1970s DC period. “It’s packed with nightmarish demonic creatures that only Kirby could conjure,” Zurzolo said.

Additional late addition comics include a restored copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 9.6 and CGC 5.5. Superman shows he’s more powerful than a locomotive on the cover of Action Comics #13 CGC 2.5. One of the greatest covers of the Golden Age in Batman #1 CGC 1.0 and a notably Bat-free cover on Detective Comics #28 CGC 8.5 Billy Wright copy were also recently added.
