Swamp Thing’s origin and the first meeting between the Fantastic Four and Incredible Hulk will cross the auction block in Heritage’s next Sunday Internet Comics, Animation & Art Auction. These and hundreds of other books will be sold on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

House of Secrets #92 CGC 8.5 ranks No. 7 on Overstreet’s “Top 25 Bronze Age Comics” list. Created by Bernie Wrightson and writer Len Wein, the Swamp Thing’s debut in this issue is a standalone horror story set in the early 20th century, and he later returns in a solo series. The popularity of the character also earned the Swamp Thing a wide range of appearances, including television series in the early 1990s, a cameo in the “Comfort and Joy” episode of Justice League and even a public service announcement aired on behalf of Greenpeace against littering.

Fantastic Four #12 CGC 4.0 brings together one of the most popular superheroes of all time and one of the greatest superhero teams. Tied for No. 28 on the most recent Overstreet “Top 50 Silver Age Comics” list, the issue features art and cover by Jack Kirby. Also of note is the fact that the issue marks the Hulk’s first crossover, tied with Amazing Spider-Man #1 as the first Marvel crossover. In addition, the issue includes appearances by several key supporting characters, including Thunderbolt Ross and Rick Jones.

There are 898 lots of comics, original art, and other memorabilia in this week’s Sunday Internet Comics, Animation & Art Auction. Bidding opens at 6 PM CT on ha.com.
