eMoviePoster has concluded their September Major Auction, which surpassed $318,000 in total sales and achieved individual record results.

Part I, which contained 227 linen-backed U.S. posters, reached $107,854. Part II, featuring 165 linen-backed international and non-movie posters, ended at $46,959. Part III, with 247 assorted U.S. and international posters, lobby cards, and more, achieved $89,132. Part IV was comprised of 151 non-linen-backed posters, bringing $74,242.

The top individual results were The Day the Earth Stood Still one-sheet for $9,251, Vertigo one-sheet for $5,707, Sunset Boulevard one-sheet for $5,250, Matri-Phony one-sheet for $4,800, Sugar Chile Robinson, Billie Holiday, Count Basie poster for $3,966, Skyway (Disney) special poster for $4,190, Wrecking Crew door panel for $4,050, Dirty Harry 40” x 60” for $4,000, and Star Wars banner for $4,451.

This auction contained hundreds of items that they hadn’t auctioned before or only auctioned once or twice, according to eMoviePoster. They noted that the classic posters from the 1920s to 1940s did well, but the biggest price movement was in the ’60s and ’70s on movies like Dirty Harry, Star Wars, and others.

eMoviePoster uses no reserves or buyer’s premiums, unenhanced super-sized images for their listings, and protective packaging for shipping.
