A comic with Hank Pym before he was Ant-Man and Mysterio’s debut appearance are among the keys in Heritage’s Sunday Comics, Animation & Art Weekly Auction, which closes on October 13, 2019.

Pym appears as himself in Tales to Astonish #27 CGC 5.0, having not yet taken on the Ant-Man role. The issue features cover and art by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers, with additional art from Steve Ditko, Joe Maneely, and Don Heck. It currently sits at No. 11 on Overstreet’s list of the Top 50 Silver Age Comics.

The Amazing Spider-Man #13 CGC 9.0 features the origin and first appearance of Mysterio, the alter ego of Quentin Beck, who is touted as “the greatest villain of all for ol’ Spidey!” on the book’s cover. The issue features cover and art by Steve Ditko.
