The Great Lakes Comic-Con is coming up soon on February 26-27, 2016. This event, at the Macomb Community College, will be a retro con with tributes to comics, toys, and characters of the 1970s and 1980s.

Guests are Sgt. Slaughter (professional wrestler), Pat Broderick (artist Captain Marvel), Tom Cook (animator Heathcliff), Seth Damoose (artist Fractured Fables), Lydia Green Graber (actress Return of the Jedi), Tony Gray (writer-artist Spider-Man), Larry Hama (writer G.I. Joe), Arvell Jones (artist Iron Fist), Larry Kenney (voice actor Thundercats), Jeff Lee (creator Q*bert), Vince Locke (artist Deadworld), William Messner-Loebs (writer-artist Wonder Woman), Dan Monroe (children’s book artist), Jason Moore (artist Evil Ernie), Keith Pollard (artist Fantastic Four), Jordan Trovillion (host Comics Continuum), and more.

The 501st Great Lakes Garrison and Rebel Base, Ghostbusters Coalition, and Squirrels Creations will also be there to entertain fans. The con will also host panels, costume contests for kids and adults with convention dollars as the prizes, gaming events, and classic 1980s arcade games.

The con runs Friday 5 PM to 9 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM. Two-day passes are $15 and one day admission for either day is $10. The Macomb Community College, South Campus, Sports and Expo Center is located at 14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, MI.
