Are you ready for some wholesome family fun centered around all things comic? Well get ready North Carolina the 2016 HeroesCon is headed your way on June 17-19, 2016. Located at the Charlotte Convention Center at 501 S. College Street, Charlotte, NC.
Since its founding in 1982, HeroesCon has prided itself on connecting fans with their favorite comic creators. Which is why this convention not only features an impressive Artists Alley but an Indie Island as well. Indie Island is centered in the heart of Artists Alley and holds the finest in indie comics, mini-comics, webcomics, designers, and more.
Some exciting creators featured in this year's Indie Island include Brooke Allen (Lumberjanes), Natalie Andrewson (Adventure Time: Ice King), Joey Ellis (Leaky Timbers), Coleman Engle (Steven Universe), Josh Latta (Rashy Rabbit), Robert Newsome (Atomic Elbow), Ed Piksor (Hip Hop Family Tree), Rafer Roberts (Carpool Buddies of Doom), Fabian Rangel Jr. (Space Riders), Chris Visions (Spider-Gwen), Alexis Ziritt (Space Riders), and many more.
Additional artists attending include Stacey Lee (Gwenpool), Kris Anka (Captain Marvel), Mark Bagley (All-New X-Men), John Beatty (Secret Wars), Ian Bertman (Batman Eternal), Aleah Baker (Sonic Universe), Frank Brunner (Dr. Strange), Bob Camp (Ren & Stimpy), Marc Deering (Supergirl), Valentine De Landro (Bitch Planet), Michael Dooney (TMNT), Garry McKee II (Tomb of Horrors), Kevin Mellon (Suicide Sisters), Kevin Sharpe (Thor), and Shouri (Jem and the Holograms) just to name a few.
The con is running Friday 11 AM to 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM. One day passes are $20 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, and $15 for Sunday. Three-day passes are $40, and kids 12 and under get in for free every day.
