Prepare yourselves, Columbia, Maryland, Galactic Con is headed your way on July 31, 2016! This affordable, family focused show will take place one day only at the DoubleTree Hotel on 5485 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD.

In an effort to keep costs light for everyone involved, Galactic Con does not feature any guest celebrities. However, they do showcase an exciting line-up of talented artists and special guest cosplayers. Such artists include Bill McKay (ZombieTramp), Chris Elliott (Psychotic Parrot Press), Micky Fiedler (Dad's Cartoons), Josh Shockley, Mathew Shockley, and James Dufendach (PLB Comics), Pat Shand (Robyn Hood), Mark McKenna (The Amazing Spider-Man), Josh Daniel Taylor IV (Top Secret Press), and Anthony Spay (Grimm Fairy Tales). As well as renowned cosplay groups Old Line Garrison-The 501st, Rebel Legion-Terrapin Base, The Finest: G.I. Joe, and The League of Hot Geeks.

Not only can you spend the day with these incredible cosplayers, but you can give them a run for their money at the Galactic Con Cosplay Contest. Head over to The Saber Legion for custom saber training and to join the combat club. Be sure to get there early to pick up your exclusive Anthony Spay print, only available at Galactic Con. This incredible piece, colored by Ivan Nunes, depicts House of Cards featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn. It is available for free with an early bird ticket or for just $10 at the show.  

The con is running Sunday, July 31 from 11 AM to 5 PM. General admission tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family – a family ticket is good for mom, dad, and all kids. Early bird tickets are $20 per person. All tickets are available at the door prior to the show, with early bird tickets available as soon as 10 AM.
