The Philadelphia Comic-Con is returning on Sunday, July 31, 2016. The comic convention will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center located at 76 Industrial Highway (Route 291) in Essington, PA 19029.
Over 60 tables will be set up in the 4,500 square-foot ballroom of the hotel. Dealers from five states set up at the show to sell, buy, and trade with collectors. They’ll be selling thousands of comics from the Golden to Modern Age plus collecting supplies, original art, graphic novels, action figures, statues, non-sport cards, Pokémon and other gaming cards, and DVDs.
Special guest artists are Paris Cullins (Green Lantern, Blue Beetle), Ron Wilson (most Marvel comic characters in the 1970s), Bob Petrecca (Batman, Firefly trading cards, Marvel trading cards), and GW Fisher (DC and Image Comics).
The show runs from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is only $3 and students of any age can get in for free with proper ID.
The hotel is located between exit 8 and 9A off of I-95 and is close to I-76, I-476 and most bridges from New Jersey. Parking is free. The Septa Bus Route 37 stops directly in front of the hotel.
