Maryland's annual convention celebrating science fiction, fantasy, pop culture, and art is almost here. Intervention 7 is being held on September 16-18, 2016, at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville at 1750 Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD.

Some amazing media guests attending this convention include Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who, Legends of Tomorrow), René Auberjonois (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Thomas Dolby (musician known for "She blinded me with Science"), Gigi Edgley (Farscape), Dwight Schuttz (The A-Team), David Gerrold (Star Trek: TOS), Tood Haberkorn (Star Trek: Continues), Robert Axelrod (Power Rangers), and Jon St. John (World of Warcraft).

Comic artists and writers in attendance are John Peel (Doctor Who), Pete Abrams (Sluggy Freelance), James Suriano (Inbiotic), Dr. Arnold Blumberg (Doctor of the Dead), Steve Archer and Donna Lynch (Ego Likeness), Joe Wos (Once Upon a Toon), Shaenon Garrity (Narbonic), Michael Terracciano and Garth Graham (Star Power), Chris Flick (Capes & Babes), Mary Ratliff (Good Game), Liz Staley (Adrastus), and Rob Balder (Erfworld).

A major portion of Intervention 7 is celebrating the recent 50th anniversaries of both Star Trek and Doctor Who. As well as spotlight panels with various artists, fan film panels, and autograph/photo opportunities with celebrity guests. Be sure to head over to the convention on Saturday night for an exciting dance party called Club 242! A full list of events will be added to the website as the convention gets closer.

The con is running from Friday 2 PM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 3 PM. One-day passes are $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, $15 for Sunday, and $45 for a full weekend pass. VIP Enabler packages are also available ranging from $15 to $50.
