The Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a two-day event on January 7-8, 2017. Since 1977 the con has hosted special guests from comic books, film, TV, and animation, plus a large dealers room full of comics and collectibles.

The January 7-8 convention includes media guests Sonequa Martin-Green, Josh McDermitt, and Khary Patyon (The Walking Dead), Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), Patrick Duffy (Man from Atlantis), William Winckler (writer-director Ultraman), Steve Blum (voice of Wolverine in Wolverine and the X-Men), and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (voice of Governor Pryce in Star Wars Rebels).

Comics guests are George Pérez (Teen Titans), Ryan Meinerding (Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development), Ruben Procopio (Batman ’66), Jim Silke (Vampirella), Alex Nino (Warren Magazine), Jon Bogdanove (Marvel and DC writer and artist), and others.

The Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention will be held at The Reef, 1933 South Broadway in Los Angeles, a mile north of USC College. The show runs on 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday. Regular admission is $20 per day, $10 for kids 6-12 years old, and free for kids 5 and younger.
